help me choose!

Gooood afternoon!

I hope you are all having a fabulous Tuesday so far.  I’ve been parked on the couch busying myself with some design work this morning.  I’m about to head out for a few on-bike errands, and then get back to house related things.

The washer + dryer should be IN the closet this week, which means we can finally start unpacking + organizing.  Woohoo!

As of now, we need to buy a new bedding set for the master + guest bedroom.  I already have something picked out for our room, but I need help deciding on the guest room.  I would like to jazz up this room a bit with a nice bright wall.  I want it to feel very clean + welcoming.

These are the options that I’ve found so far.  Chris said I get to pick!

Everything is very similarly priced for the comforter + pillowcases + bedskirt.  They range from $69.99 - $89.99.

Option 1 – If I chose this set I’m not sure what I would want to paint as the accent color.  Green might be a bit intense, since there is so much green in the comforter already.  Maybe a nice gray, like the lighter gray leaf on the comforter.

Option 2 – I’m not sure what color I would want to paint an accent wall with this set, but I love these colors.  Definitely do not want to paint anything brown.  Maybe a lighter blue, like our kitchen, or coral.

Option 3 – With this set, we could paint the wall a matching green color like the piping around the edges.  But I’m not sure I’m digging the black.

Option 4 – Possibly a bit too brown for my liking, but I like the simplicity of the pattern.  We could pain the wall a warm salmon color or a deep blue.

Option 5 – Same design as option 3, but in a different color.  Not sure on the paint color for this one!

Help me choose!

Thanks for your help!

I LOVE the first one! Love!

~

I voted for Option 2. I think it would look great with a blue accent wall.

Love option 4 with the salmon :)

I like #2 & #3! :)

I'm digging the first one a lot!!

I like number 4 the best -- I like the pattern and I think a salmon wall would look really pretty!

not too crazy about the ice blue/brown, I feel like it may be a bit overdone (in general and also lots of blue in your kitchen!) loving the idea of warm, clean greens... totally tangent-ing here but maybe a grey accent wall and warm orange/fuschia accessories in the room with option 5?

Love the first one!!! And the lighter gray leaf color for the wall! Super cute! :)

I'm loving the blue and brown colors (Option 2)... I think it would make a nice transition from the kitchen since they are so close.

I was going to say the salmon and brown at first, but I think I love the idea of the salmon colored wall more so than then actual brown set.

I love option one and painting the wall grey!

#2, but I'm partial because those are "my colors". Our old guest room had those colors and we used a light blue on the walls and it looked great!

3 or 5!! I love green and love that you could do a green accent wall to go with the trim. I'm also a sucker for anything yellow & gray. :)

May 10, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterHeather

I would go with option 1!

May 10, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterGloria

Definitely love option 1

Option 2!! matches your kitchen. Not that it matters.... ;-)

I LOVE the first one! Could you PLEASE tell me where you found it?!?

May 10, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterDanielle

I'd say 2 bc blues are relaxing cool colors which is what you want in a bedroom space. Good luck!

I really love option 1! You have such great taste!

My vote has been cast. ;) Cute app.
Option 4 with salmon wall. I love brown & think the simple pattern is very inviting. I've always wanted to paint a wall a bright, intense color while keeping the rest of the walls & room simple. Love it.
On the flip side, as long as you kept the walls simple & subtle (like a light grey), option 1 with the bright green (my favorite color) & leaves is gorgeous.
Have fun choosing!

Definitely option 2 with a blue accent wall. It sounds so calming which will help your guests relax :-)

Hands down Option 1.

With option 2, could you maybe do a taupe/latte color for the paint/accent color?

That is one of my favorite paint colors right now.

Option #1 is so cute! I love green!

May 10, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterJessie

love, love, LOOOOVE the first one! especially with a nice grey color on the walls, I think it's very comforting :)

May 10, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterChrista

I like Option 1 and Option 3 the best!

May 10, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterMama Pea

I love option 1 with a gray accent wall!

Will the dogs be on the bed? If so I would go for option 1 to hide some of the dog hair that will inevitably end up on the comforter. If not...I like option 2 with the blue wall.

It is impossible. I like them all. You should probably just flip a 5-sided coin. What, doesn't everyone have one of those?

I like option #2, but really they're all amazing options!

May 10, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterVeggieGirl

I love loveeee option four! But I also really like the idea of option 1 with option 3's green wall color.

I voted on option 3 with the green accents. I like that alot! And you could spruce it up with fun green accent pillows or a throw.

May 10, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterKelly

I love option 3, but I'm also a fan of black and white. You could do any accent color with that!

I like option one with the light grey paint also, my next fave is option 5 with a navy blue accent wall.

May 10, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterStacy

Oh man, you can't go wrong with any of these. They're all awesome. I like the pattern of 2 & 5 the best.
I had a peach/salmon master bedroom in our previous house and hated it after awhile.

OPTION 5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

May 10, 2011 | Unregistered Commenterholly

I vote for the first one. I like that one a lot.

May 10, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterMichelle

Either Option 1 with a nice grey wall, or option five with a green wall. I am, however, a green fanatic. heavily biased. I'm moving into a new place in a month and definitely putting a green accent wall in the bedroom. :-) giving me great ideas.

Hiya Ashley. Lemme plead my case for option 4! I love #1, bright green is so inviting. Buuuut, option 4 gives you the most leeway with accent colours. And it would be the easiest to find accent pillows and patterns for curtains/accessories because of the simple colour palette. I think layers of patterns are so nice (which is why option 1 is great), helps things look less matchy matchy. Plus I think coral is such a fantastic colour. My two cents :D

I really like number 4. It's so pretty and simple!

May 10, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterAlexa @ Simple Eats

Option 2 or Option 5 are awesome. Option 2 would carry over nice for the bedroom as it is the colour pallet for your kitchen. I love it. But bringing in some nice greens would be really nice as well.

Maybe the walls can be a different shade of gray, but bring in the green into the curtains.

All great choices though :)

May 10, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterDestini

I totally went with option 2, carrys on the colours of the kitchen
You have a great sense of style :)

I love numbers 1& 3 the best but they're all awesome!

I say definitely Option 1--such a cool set

May 10, 2011 | Unregistered Commenter¡Yo Soy Liz!

I love option 1. It's my favorite.

I love option 1! I actually ALMOST bought it for myself when I saw it at Kohl's a few weeks ago, but in the end I went with a cheaper option that I found at Wal-Mart still keeping with the same color scheme. I LOVE the green!

#1 with the gray wall!!! Beautiful choices...

Option 1 FOR SURE!!! I almost bought a very similar bedset but decided to hold onto that money and save for later :) I love grays/blacks/whites with a bright color of pop. Have you considered maybe painting the walls a light yellow? I mean, it's a yellow-y green, so I think that would look nice and bright and would not clash with the color scheme at all!

May 10, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterMonique

Option 2, with a a dusty light blue accent wall. It'll be super relaxing!

May 10, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterBec

The 1st one, all the way.

May 10, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterAndrea

I love 1 and 3! I voted for 3 since it is simple but 1 is gorgeous.. I might be picking up one of those sets for our bedroom. Not bad prices at all!
