farewell to great friends
July 30, 2011 A few weeks ago, my good friends Melissa + Matt packed up their bags + adorable kiddos and made their way back to Ohio. Melissa and I have been friends since the 6th grade. She was in my wedding and I was in hers. It was extremely sad to see them go! But at least when I go back home to visit family, they’ll be there!!
Before they headed out, I whipped out the camera one last time, to capture those sweet faces I’ve come to know and love.

Photographing people, and kids specifically, is a lot different than shooting a bowl of oatmeal or styling a plate of pasta for the camera and you show with all your images what a versatile and well-rounded photographer you are.

What stunning photos! I cannot believe you taught yourself photography. You are such an inspiration!
All of these pictures are really nice. My favorite pic is the one of the dog. No offense to the absolutely beautiful children intended. But in the dog pic, I like the lighting, how you can only see one of his eyes, the way he is positioned, the way it is focused, the colors, etc. You're an artist!
