It was quite the doughnut filled weekend as you can clearly see.  My first deadline is today, and I still have a few things to finish up.  If all goes as planned this book will be on shelves exactly ONE year from today.  Absolute insane!

I’m planning on soup this week.  Stay tuned!

I love all the photos of the doughnut making/photographing process! My absolute fav though was the one of your doggie looking at the table. Did he get at least ONE? :)
Oh my gosh, the way your pups are eyeing those doughnuts is so adorable!! And I absolutely love that behind the camera shot of all the doughnuts spread out on the table. It's fantastic!

@Laura - When I see the photos it kind of cracks me up. It looks like total chaos! Our hose has a lack of storage. :)

@Kelly - It was so funny. They really don't bother the doughnuts or my crazy photography setup at all. But towards the end they both came over and stood back from the table but stretched their faces in for a sniff. I was cracking up and HAD to take a few photos. :)

You are amazing! And I don't know what it is but there is something about simple white icing with colorful sprinkles...gets me every time--even over much more fancy combos.

@Nicole - Oh my gosh. I feel the exact same way about the sprinkle doughnuts. They are my favorite...especially the white!

Oh man....those poor puppies want in on the donuts. Maybe you need to make a doggy donut recipe next? ;)

LOVE these photos! I can't imagine having that many donuts in the house at once. I'd gain 5 pounds. In an hour. Maybe less. What do you do with all of the donuts after you make and photograph them? Oh, and this totally made me mad for not using my long john donut pan sooner. I need to get on that!

@Katie - Hahaa, it is quite the pathetic look on her face! Thanks...I wish you could test them too!

@Andrea - They definitely don't go to waste! I eat some of them to taste test, I keep a few for Chris, and then I announce on my facebook doughnut group that doughnuts are ready for pickup. My friends swing by with containers and whisk them away. :)

Oh, they all look delicious! That shot of the donut with what looks like white buttercream frosting with sprinkles caught my eye. Congratulations again! :-)

Wow! Those donuts and treats look awesome, I can just imagine the kitchen smells looking at these photos. i love seeing the prep work and behind the scenes shots too. One gets to feel like they are spying a bit. Very exciting about the book - congrats!

That looks like an insane amount of work, but it also appears to be well worth it! Beautiful photos and delicious-looking doughnuts. Your poor dog :)
