love grown foods HOT OATS {giveaway}

Have you heard??

The fabulous team at Love Grown Foods has just released a new product!

Instant HOT OATS!

I’ve been a gigantic supporter of Love Grown Foods ever since meeting Maddy + Alex a few years back at a Denver farmer’s market.  They were there dishing out their granola and spreading the love—as they like they say.

Not only do they make delicious products, with quality ingredients, keeping health in mind, but they are also very active in the community.  And not just in Colorado, but all over the United States!  Maddy makes frequent trips from state to state educating kids on healthy eating, staying fit, and having fun.  They are also incredibly generous donating their products all.of.the.time. for a variety of causes.

We’ve become great friends over the years, and I couldn’t be more excited for their success and launch of this new product.

The Hot Oats are certified gluten free and also vegan.

Here is the nutritional information for the blueberry banana version: [source]

Our freely unprocessed ingredients: Certified Gluten-Free Oats, Brown Sugar, Bananas, WALNUTS, Blueberries, Cinnamon

I must say the texture was quite impressive for instant oats.  They were much thicker are heartier than I was expecting.  The banana, blueberry, and walnut flavors were all noticeable but not overpowering or artificial tasting.

A little peanut butter + banana addition.

A past positive change I've made is to cut out all artificial ingredients in my food, and focus on trying to eat more locally grown/organic/fair trade products.
In 2013, I plan to continue this and keep trying to encourage my friends to do the same! :)

my 2013 motto is "be happier." I have started writing in my journal again after a MUCH too long hiatus.

I have decided to push my limits in 2013 and have signed up for a half marathon in May and with the further goal of losing up to 20lbs before then so carrying myself over that line is a little easier and healthier. I've begun implimenting LITTLE changes with food such as adding breakfast/snacks, more water, and eating less per meal, versus just having a huge lunch at 11am and a large dinner at 730pm supplemented with Diet Coke. Running changes have me joined up with a local running club and associating running not with the hard-to-breath aches and pain, but with being social, outdoors and having fun with it!

I've decided to run a 5K this year, and I want to start doing yoga! I also am going to try to be less critical of others.
I have been so excited to try these Hot Oats ever since I first heard about them! They all sound delicious!

I have two goals for 2013 targeting my health: 1) find regular forms of exercise that I find FUN- in the past chosen exercise plans that seemed like more like a chore to me (I've signed up for dance lessons, a sports league, and a running clinic), 2) have a green smoothie every day to make sure I'm getting a decent amount of veggies, no matter my schedule!

I want to be healthier this year...we're going to the beach and I want to feel good when we go!
Also, I want to work harder on getting my small business up and running, all that technical paperwork scares me!

Taking care of ME - mentally as much as physically. It's so easy to allow that to fall to the wayside but it's just as important as taking care of others.
my goal for 2013: be better person - whether that means being a better family member or friend, nurse or officer, cook or baker, healthier or more in shape, embracing my faults and my attributes. this isn't a resolution, but a life change - a way to embrace things and improve who i am.

I want to run my second half marathon in April! And just be generally more active throughout the year.

2013 positive change is doing the 3 (or 5) things I'm grateful for each morning as I drag myself out of bed at 5:15am with my early rising toddler! It helps frame my mental state with positivity for the long day ahead :)

100% whole foods for 21 days, and a MUCH more "clean eating" approach for the remainder of the year. I really didn't do it just because it's a new year, I've been gradually making the shift for a while and I am just ready :) LOVE Love Grown Granola and can't wait to try the oats.

Change I'm planning on doing: working out more/making more time for yoga!

Have been eating clean (only whole foods, no processed) since Jan. 1 and will continue for a month. Then I will slowly add back some caffeine, dairy, and sucanat/honey.

my goal for 2013 is to get back in shape- eating healthily again, cutting out diet soda and most junk foods, exercising regularly, and being happier with myself and comfortable with my body again!
January 10, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterEmily
My health goals that I need to work on in 2013 are to drink more water, eat fewer sweets (don't need dessert everyday!), and more green juices and smoothies. I also need to get my vitamin D and B12 levels up. Would love to try the oats and the granola!

I've been plenty active for the past several years, but my nutrition has definitely not been up to snuff. This year, I'm bringing my lunch to work (which should help save some money too!) and I'm going gluten free. So far, your site has given me lots of great ideas!!!

I have a few goals/positive changes I am making this year: moving!, making new friends, being more impulsive/stop overthinking things, face fears every day, get better at snowboarding, and travelling more. :) Sorry, I know that was more than one ;) This new product looks so yummy and convenient for those mornings when you accidentally wake up an hour late, haha:)
January 10, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterAndrea
Ooh yummy! A positive change I am going to make this year is to really focus on finding a job that I love, and not just a job to pay the bills. :)

January 10, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterTania B
trying to get more variety this year: food-wise and workout-wise. I love my old faves (obviously), but I'm hoping that branching out will be exciting + fun in addition to upping the variety of nutrients I take in and improving physical performance!
January 10, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterMichele
My positive change is to set a bodget and watch the silly expenses so I can save for the future and have extra play money to do fun things like travel.

Some positive changes in my life? Trying new things - sounds cliche, but I want to put myself out there more - try new fitness classes, new foods, listen to new music, meet new people....
This year I've set out to pay more attention to portion control and eat when I'm actually hungry... not just when it's time to eat or when I'm bored. I'm also in the midst of a couch to 5k training plan!
January 10, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterKiersten
Happy New Year! I'm really excited about the new juicer we bought this past weekend. It's a great way for my husband and I to start our day. I'm already noticing a difference in my energy level. However, I'm most enthusiastic about the fact that our very picky, non-vegetable eating 6 year old has been drinking juice with cucumber and carrots. I think this is only the beginning.

I am going to try to be accountable for my actions, and not blame anyone or anything else when I can't get something done.

Love me some oats! My positive change for 2013? Not being afraid to create space and boundaries in my life for the things that matter. My husband and I are adopting (hoping our baby comes home within the next 4 months!!) and I am cutting my hours back at work. I am priortizing the things that matter to the most even if it's not the most popular choice!
January 10, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterAbby
I'm trying to drink more water and cook more at home.
January 10, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterStacey
I LOVE that they used gluten free oats. It's so hard to find anything instant/quick that is gluten free! And I'm trying to "choose to be happy" this year! Pretending actually does make you feel happier!

I plan to add running back into my workouts. At least a mile each time I work out.
