juice to the rescue

I had the most vivid dream last night.

I ran a 1/2 marathon on an indoor track and PR’d.

I’ve only run one 1/2 marathon and it wasn’t on an indoor track.  I’m not signed up for races, and am not even running right now.  Maybe it was something to do with waiting to see the finish line with all the painting?  Who knows!

Either way, when I woke up, I felt like I had run a marathon.  I could have slept for hours more, but needed to start my day!  My body felt tired, but in a need to stretch it out, kind of way.  I contemplated swimming.  Good idea?  Bad idea?  Would it make my arms to tired for more painting?  After making breakfast and doing some computer things, I decided to give it a go.

I’m so glad I did.  It took a few laps to wake my body up, but my muscles are feeling much looser and relaxed!  We’ll see what I’m saying when I pick up the paint roller though!

When I got home, I was craving JUICE.

This juice was just what I needed and it tasted great!! Definitely one of my favorites!  I decided to forego the lemon/ginger/apple for once, and the change up was delicious!

I’m 100% re-energized.  The white walls are calling my name!

gimme the juice!

Today I woke up on the wrong side of the bed.  I felt like I had a hangover, but there was no alcohol consumed the night before.  I’ve been eating well + drinking enough water, but just stretching myself a little thin.  Pretty common around here, but never a good thing!  I’m trying to take it easier today and even got in a much needed nap.

I did something different for breakfast today.

I made oatmeal!  It’s been awhile.

This bowl was super tasty, but I’ve realized I’m not a big fan of chia seeds cooked into oats.  It’s a little too gummy for me!

In the bowl:

  • 1/3c rounded oats
  • 1 1/4c almond milk + water
  • 1 small banana
  • 1T chia seeds
  • 1t cinnamon
  • 1t vanilla
  • a lot of frozen blueberries

Piled on top:

  • chocolate chip cookie dough almond butter
  • almonds
  • Love Grown Foods simply oats granola
  • toasted coconut

Here is a sneak peak of the new wood color!!  Ignore the yellow glow coming from the back of the photo.  There is a big yellow compressor in the closet, casting a lovely glow. ;)

I love how every single wood strip looks different!!  The color is nice + light, which will also help hide scratches.  SO EXCITED!

After my nap, I realized I needed a pick me up.  I didn’t want to slurp down coffee, because I felt like that might make me feel worse.  So, it was time to bust out the juicer.  I haven’t been juicing or smoothie-ing lately at all, and I really need to get back into it.

This was not the tastiest of juices, by any means.

But it was exactly what I needed.  I’m actually feeling much more alert and not as foggy in the head!

I have literally had to stop this post 4 times because of ordering related phone calls.  Eek!

Off to walk the dogs and soak up some sun!  Yesterday we got a dusting of snow, but today it’s in the 50’s and tomorrow in the 60’s!
